Our health management and policy concentration blends a core management component with advanced public health training. That, along with an applied-team-based learning experience that draws a diverse group of students from around the country and the world, will equip you for senior leadership roles in a wide range of public, private and not-for-profit organizations committed to improving health care delivery systems, access to health care services, and reducing risks to the public’s health.
There are no additional requirements for the health management and policy concentration. Please refer to the admissions requirements for all M.P.H. applicants.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until classes are full. You can submit
GRE scores up to three months after your initial application. Apply using the centralized
application services SOPHAS.org or HAMPCAS.org.
A joint concentration in epidemiology requires just six additional credit hours and can still be completed in two years.

Students in the health management and policy program can earn a dual degree with SLU's School of Law in four years. SLU's Center for Health Law Studies is the number one ranked program in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.
Students wishing to apply for the dual-degree program must apply separately to the School of Law.

With a Master of Public Health and a concentration in health management policy you will be able to analyze and create effective strategies and polices for hospitals and health systems at the very highest levels of the organization.
You can become a senior health policy director or advisor for federal and state legislators and in governmental agencies at all levels such as the Department of Health and Human Services.
You can also work for various NGOs and advocacy organizations, such AARP, and for prestigious think tanks and research organizations in academia, Washington, D.C., or throughout the nation and around the globe.
